Wireless Power Transmission
Traditional power cables are limited by distance, terrain, and infrastructure, making them expensive and difficult to install, especially in remote or challenging environments. They are prone to wear and tear, requiring constant maintenance and posing risks of power outages and damage. Wireless power transmission, on the other hand, eliminates the need for physical connections, delivering energy seamlessly across vast distances—whether from ground stations or satellites—without the constraints of cables. This approach reduces costs, increases reliability, and provides access to energy in places where cables simply cannot reach, revolutionizing how we power the world.
Looking ahead, wireless power transmission will be key to powering the next era of space exploration. It can enable sustainable energy for satellites, create a dependable power grid for lunar bases, and provide continuous energy to rovers and landers on the Moon. As we extend our reach to Mars, this technology could one day deliver power across the vast distances between Earth and the Red Planet, supporting future colonies and exploration missions. Wireless power opens the door to limitless possibilities, both on Earth and beyond.
Meet the Team
Meet the people behind the tech. We’re a tight-knit team of curious thinkers, problem solvers, and dreamers, all united by one goal: to change how the world gets its energy. What truly connects us is our passion for pushing boundaries and making the impossible happen. From Earth to space, we’re working together to bring wireless power where it’s needed most — and we’re just getting started.
Matyáš Dvořák
Founder & CEO
Matyáš got his undergraduate degree in Physics from Sorbonne Université and is now pursuing his Master’s course in Optics and Photonics at Imperial College London. He interned at SpaceChain and HiLASE, where he worked on a 2.1-micron thin-disk laser. He also collaborated with the Czech Technical University on a project for the European Space Agency, analysing data from a hyperspectral camera. His core values are honesty, excellence, and fairness, and he brings these attributes to the everyday decision-making at Celestia.
Sebastian Kaloš
Chief Technology Officer
Sebastian is a PhD candidate in Atomic and Laser Physics at the University of Oxford, with a research focus on ultrafast lasers and light-plasma interactions. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics from New York University Abu Dhabi. Sebastian was on the mechanical team of the successfully deployed Light-1 CubeSat, and his thesis on the science objectives of the Emirates Lunar Mission was published in Space Science Reviews. As a student, he gained experience at the laser centre ELI Beamlines and CERN.
We’re always looking for passionate, creative minds to help us push the boundaries of wireless power transmission. If you’re excited about solving real-world challenges, shaping the future of energy, and working with a team that believes in bold ideas, we want to hear from you. Whether your expertise is in engineering, physics, software, or something in between, there’s a place for you on our team. Come be a part of the mission to power the world, from Earth to the stars.
